Big Weekend 2025 - Artists

The William Bakerfield Band

Timetable to be announced

Loraine Baker, Pete Wakefield, Stu and Jo Williams formed The William Bakerfield Band in 2022.

Pete and Loraine have performed as the duo, ‘Bakerfield’ for many years whilst Stu and Loraine have played in bands together for longer than they care to remember!

Jo and Stu had only ever played in their kitchen so, they are now enjoying performing together on stage.

The band have earned rave reviews for their musical virtuosity, stunning 3-part harmonies and natural stage presence, all combining to create a journey performing their favourite Americana/Country/Bluegrass songs interspersed with songs written by Pete to be enjoyed by any audience!

Pete, Loraine and Jo provide all the vocals (along with guitar, mandolin, double-bass and fiddle) whilst Stu plays banjo and critiques their harmonies.

After many Sunday afternoons playing, singing and eating biscuits, they look forward to entertaining audiences at venues far and wide!
