Highly regarded as one of the finest Cajun dance bands in the UK today!

Chanky Chank have been filling dance floors since the band’s formation in 2010, delivering an infectious blend of traditional Cajun dancehall music with a sprinkling of spicy Rock n Roll and hot Country seasoning.

Chanky Chank presents an all-star 5-piece line up featuring some of the most highly regarded Cajun musicians in the UK today, these guys have been playing Louisiana music together and keeping the dance floor bouncing in a variety of dynamic formats for over 30 years!

Chanky Chank meaning – originally a derogatory term used by young folks to describe the sound of the traditional Cajun & Creole music played by the old folks, likely due to the clanking sounds made by the Cajun Triangle, or the Rubboard in Creole music – “That old Chanky Chank”
Now a phrase that Cajun and Creole musicians young and old are proud to be associated with!
