The Barceló Brothers

How these two young Irish lads with Mediterranean blood, have become the future of Zydeco Music in Europe, nobody knows. But their outstanding musicianship, artistic sensitivity and stage presence have attracted a constantly growing following on both sides of the Atlantic.
Born and raised in the West of Ireland, the brothers Séamus and Mícheál Barceló started playing music at a very young age, while rapidly falling in love with the creole accordion sounds of South-West Louisiana and Texas. They have mastered the traditional old-school sounds of Zydeco music with dedication, respect and passion for the roots of the music. Driven by their youthful spirit, they continue to expand their ever-growing musical tastes, keeping a keen eye on the trends of modern music, infusing any new sounds and styles that they come across: Modern R&B, Soul, Reggae, Ska, Hip-Hop, Pop, Rock, Cúmbia & Rumba. There are no musical barriers in the creativity of these two brothers.
They write their own songs that reflect their cultural and multilingual upbringing, incorporating their own roots into the music and shaping a voice of their own: a raw and energetic beat mixed with a meaningful and socially-engaged musical poetry. Despite their young ages, they have travelled with their music to many festivals and
venues in Ireland, UK, Spain and France, playing alongside some of the well-known names in the genre, supporting big names, such as The Saw Doctors, and spreading the joy of their music.
